Wearing hi-viz has “little to no impact” on crashes involving people who cycle.
Victimising people who dress normally while cycling will only stop people taking up cycling, making the whole population less healthy.

The study has been published in the latest Journal of Transport & Health. It was authored by Gabriele Prati of the University of Bologna's psychology department. He found that "bicycling visibility-aids law had no influence on bicycle crash[es]."
